Drs. Pat and Paul FrishkoffAs in your family-run company, we are dynamic, because we weave different talents and styles together. While Pat focuses on strategy and financials, Paul relishes career development and communications. Paul puns; Pat groans. We strongly prefer to work as a team, in speaking and consulting, thus modeling family business behavior.

Both of us were raised in business-owning families, contrasts in urbanity. Pat grew up on a family farm outside rural Elba, New York. Paul's father founded a CPA firm near Wall Street. Our passion, which we mesh into our services, is rooted in these family stories.

Family Firm InstituteWe both began as professors in accounting.  We each hold a CPA designation as well as the Family Firm Institute's Certificate in Family Business Advising.

We have three children, share a love for theatre and travel, and live happily in a geodesic dome in Eugene when we're not relaxing in our getaway on the Oregon Coast.

Dr. Paul Frishkoff

Dr. Paul FrishkoffPaul facilitates change, by integrating aspects of entrepreneurship, career development, heroism and creativity, aspects of classes that he introduced and taught as Professor in the Lundquist College of Business, University of Oregon. Believing that life, including family business, can be fun, he injects humor into his work. His coined “definitions” include: "napotist” – a relative who sleeps on the job, and congloomerate" - diversified family enterprise still run with Grandpa's Depression-era outlook.

Paul holds a B.A. degree, magna cum laude, in history and economics from Swarthmore, an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford. He has participated in about 2000 hours of continuing education in applied psychology and related fields. He served on the regional Board of Directors for the Oregon Society of CPAs and supports his community through longtime board service for Looking Glass Youth and Family Services.
